One thing I've noticed about this soundtrack is that none of the songs truly sound upbeat or happy. That consistent theme really drives the feeling of the game that there's something wrong that just won't go away. Even in "Fun, sunny day", a relatively joyful track, there is still a sense of melancholy that you can hear. Kasey Ozymy really pulled that off well. My only issue with the album is that the tracks are a little quiet.

Simultaneously a charming and horrifying gem of a game. I have to agree with others in that JatPM is a master of tonal whiplash! The soundtrack is a big part of how it goes about achieving that. Some of these tracks are absolute bangers, while others make my skin crawl inside-out. A truly outstanding work of art.
Favorite track: Morning Lullaby.
The soundtrack to indie game “Cottage Quest” is a marvel of pointillist synths and chiptune influence—charming and catchy all at once. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 6, 2023
If the Phantom of the Opera wrote video game music, it might sound something like the sweeping, stately songs on “Place of Honor.” Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 25, 2023
